We are looking for up to 20 volunteer photographers to cover the various events during the MOSAÏQ Multicultural Festival that will be held in downtown Moncton on July 19 and 20, 2019. If you like cultural or event photography, this is for you, regardless of your level of experience.
The festival is where the world comes to celebrate, eat, dance, sing and learn. There will be a parade, music venues and the Festival’s World Village with artisan vendors, multicultural exhibits and a variety of international foods.
The lead photographer for the event is Stephen R. Conrad who did a presentation on cultural and events photography at one of our meetings in March 2019.
If interested, please register no later than May 31, 2019. Once registered and when closer to the event date, you will receive an email with a meeting point at the festival.

Horse Show - Dressage Show at PLP
For those who’ve never shot moving targets, this is the ideal one to try. It’s a little slower and the ‘patterns’ that are being ridden are clearly defined, so it’s possible to predict where and when the horse/rider pair will do specific things - allowing the photographer to be ready in advance to capture that perfect moment. I’ll work with you to figure out the best camera settings and, hopefully, the weather will cooperate so we can shoot at the outside ring where the light is better. That said, be prepared to shoot in the indoor arena if necessary where the light is (to put it politely) ghastly.
Sunday, July 15th, 2018 - Saturday, August 14th, 2018
The Mathieu C Project
The challenge will go from July 15 to August 11, that's 4 weeks.
For the challenge, we'll randomly select 7 themes at the beginning of each week (on Sunday evening) and each participant will have to submit a minimum of 5 photos by the next Sunday.
All themes will be based on subjects and not techniques making it accessible to all.
